The major ICC event of 2020 saw the arrival of women’s teams in Australia for the T20 World Cup. The tournament held eight months ahead of the men’s tournament. The tournament included ten teams. The 8 top teams based on finishing positions from the ICC Women’s World of 2018. The remaining two qualification were Bangladesh and Thailand determined through the 2019 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier.
