Today, we have with us Sarabjot Singh from Delhi who is as a fast pace bowler playing under 18 zonals. An aspiring cricketer with dream of playing in Indian cricket team.

How have you developed a interest in cricket and where do you see yourself in the future?
Althought I have been watching cricket from a long time but I have developed a deep and personal interest in cricket when I was 14, and I was watching match of Ravichandran Ashwin. He played extremely well and his batting skills very unique that day, this inspired me and motivated me to become a cricketer like him so I started following him. Slowly and steadily my interest towards the game even further increased and when I was 18, I decided to join the national stadium after that I went to a private cricket academy to develop my skills. My teachers are very good and supportive. My mother is my biggest supporter. She has taught me importance of hard-work and honesty in my life. She always supports and encourgaes me, when there are some days when i underperform or i am not able to play with my full potential she motivates me and helps me to get in a good mood.
When asked about how Sarabjot tackles difficult situation he said, “Yes, life of a sportsperson is quite contradictory to the image that has been made by media.Being a sportsman is you have to fight with all these ups and downs. Sometime people supports and sometime they donβt. But if we have confidence to tackle situations then only we can survive the ups and downs of the game. A lot of discipline and patience is required being a sportsman.”
Sarabjot has lofty dreams as he wants to play for the nation as a strike bowler. His inclination is more towards bowling but still he prefer both. He is an all-rounder and sometimes like to wicket-keep also.
We know that cricket is always considered as a gentlemen sport but now a day crickets are so aggressive .why?
I think, if there is no aggression then there will be no fun. Aggression helps us to go beyond our capabilities and achieve something. I think many times it shows the spirit of a person and enables him to unleash his full potential. There are many moments when i am not able to hide my aggression but it turns out to a motivator for me to play better. And also that aggression takes place on field but off the field there is no such aggression. Before the match, I listen to some music or talk to my mother so that I can release my stress and being in stressful situations has sometimes taught me a lot about planning and strartegy.
If one day you need to choose between Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni. Who will you choose for a captain?
MS DHONI, because he is calm and compose. I love his leadership skills. Kohli is little aggressive which may result negatively for us.
